We spent a long day in the train building today. Lorrie painted back drops for 7.5 hours straight, she's doing a terrific job. The new "skies" make a huge difference upon entry into the layout building (a certain WOW factor). Nice job Lorrie! I worked changing out street lamps to better looking Walther's lamp posts. We have the second of four turntables installed and more switches wired. By the end of the weekend, Lorrie should have a huge dent in painting and I hope to have the two large trestle bridges complete. The sweeping curved hand laid turnout leading to the large trestle is complete and works like a charm! A little clean up afterwards and then pictures to post!

Layout update 4/15/2012
We're about 95% done with laying the track. Both the dual gauge yard and the narrow gauge yard are complete except for the turntables which are past due (waiting on Walthers). There has been 114 Tortoise motors installed and over 3,000 ft of wire run (so far). Some of our dioramas have found a home, we still have quite a few more to install on the layout. Lorrie will start painting the back drops next week. That's going to be a BIG chore! I hope you enjoy our photos, if you have any questions, feel free to ask Leo & Lorrie Palitti
